Florida Paralegals™ respects the privacy of every individual who visits our websites.
This privacy statement provides notice of the standards and terms under which Florida Paralegals™ protects the privacy of information supplied by visitors to sites on the World Wide Web that are owned and operated by Florida Paralegals™, including flparalegals.com.
This privacy statement provides notice of our information collection practices and of the ways in which your information may be used. This policy may change from time to time, so please check back periodically to review this information.
A. Personally-Identifiable Information:
Florida Paralegals™ typically receives specific data about its website visitors only when such information is provided voluntarily, such as when our visitors request information, purchase or enroll for services, provide resume information for employment opportunities, or send us e-mail. Of course, some of these activities require that you give us information, such as when you make a purchase, use a credit card to pay for services, submit your resume, or request certain types of information.
When you provide personally-identifiable information to Florida Paralegals™ through one of our websites, it will be used to fulfill your specific request. In most cases, you will be given the opportunity to select whether you do, or do not, want Florida Paralegals™ to use this information for additional purposes. You may also request that Florida Paralegals™ not use your information by contacting us, however, Florida Paralegals™ reserves the right, in its discretion, to send you bulletins and other important information about your Florida Paralegals™ services.
Absent any instructions from you, Florida Paralegals™ may use information you provide to inform you about additional services and products offered by the Florida Paralegals™ family of companies, Florida Paralegals™ authorized agents, and other goods and services providers with whom Florida Paralegals™ has relationships and whose offerings might be of interest to you. Florida Paralegals™ will not, however, sell or trade your personally-identifiable information unless we are authorized or legally required to do so, or in the case of imminent physical harm to the visitor or others.
On those Florida Paralegals™ sites where you may provide Florida Paralegals™ with credit card or other ordering information via the web, Florida Paralegals™ protects and secures this information by employing commercially customary web-based security and encryption protocols, examples of which include Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and Secure Electronic Transaction (SET).
On those sites where you voluntarily offer any feedback, data, answers, questions, comments, suggestions, ideas or the like, Florida Paralegals™ will treat that portion of the information as non-confidential and non-proprietary and, except as otherwise expressed in this privacy statement, Florida Paralegals™ assumes no obligation to protect such information from disclosure.
B. Non Personally-Identifiable (Generic) Information:
In general, Florida Paralegals™ gathers some generic information automatically. Generic information does NOT reveal the identity of the visitor. It usually includes information about the Internet address assigned to your computer, the number and frequency of visitors, and the sites visited.
Florida Paralegals™ gathers this information for the limited purpose of determining customer service and website needs. We accomplish this by using certain technologies, including "cookies" (a technology that can be used to provide the visitor with tailored information about Florida Paralegals™ services).
Florida Paralegals™ does not combine information collected in this way with any personally-identifiable information. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie and you can refuse it.
C. Your Florida Paralegals™-Hosted Website, Bulletin Boards, Chat Rooms and Third-Party Sites:
Information that you disclose in a public space, including on any bulletin board, chat room, or website Florida Paralegals™ may host for you as part of your Florida Paralegals™ services, is available to anyone else who visits that space. Florida Paralegals™ cannot safeguard any information you disclose in these locations.
D. Exceptions and Limitations:
Notwithstanding the foregoing and in compliance with applicable laws, Florida Paralegals™
(I) cooperates fully with state, local, and federal officials in any investigation relating to any content (including personal or private electronic communications transmitted to Florida Paralegals™) or purported unlawful activities of any user of the Service, and
(II) takes reasonable measures to protect its proprietary rights. For the limited purposes of accomplishing such cooperation and measures and in compliance with applicable laws, Florida Paralegals™ may be required to disclose personally identifiable information.
In addition, Florida Paralegals™ may elect to monitor the areas of communication of any kind
(I) to satisfy any law, regulation, or government request;
(II) if such disclosure is necessary or appropriate to operate Florida Paralegals™; or
(III) to protect the rights or property of Florida Paralegals™ or others.
In connection with the potential sale or transfer of any of its interest in flparalegals.com and other sites owned by the company, Florida Paralegals™ reserves the right to sell or transfer your information (including, but not limited to name, address information, and other information you provided to Florida Paralegals™) to a third party that
(I) concentrates its business in communication products or services;
(II) agrees to be Florida Paralegals™' successor in interest with regard to the maintenance and protection of information collected and maintained by Florida Paralegals™; and
(III) agrees to the obligations of this policy statement.
Florida Paralegals™ is a trademark used under license by Florida Paralegals Inc. and is not affiliated with the State of Florida, the Florida Secretary of State's office, the United States Government, or other state or governmental agencies or entities.
Florida Paralegals™ is a filing agency and does not render any legal, accounting, tax, or other advice. This site provides only general information and should not serve as a substitute for having a review by an attorney or accountant familiar with your specific situation. We strongly recommend that before placing your order with us, you review your proposed actions and filings with your attorney, accountant, or other qualified adviser.
Florida Paralegals™ uses information provided by you to complete and file documents on your behalf. No representations or warranties, express or implied, are given regarding the legal or other consequences resulting from the use of our services or forms.
Neither Florida Paralegals™ nor any member, officer, or employee of Florida Paralegals™ warrant (i) the accuracy of any information contained in the records or on the systems of the Florida Secretary of State or other state or federal governmental agencies or entities, or (ii) the reliability of any information placed by you or others in our system, or (iii) the time frame within which the Florida Secretary of State or other state or federal governmental agencies or entities will update their records nor the time frame within which the Florida Secretary of State or other state or federal governmental entities will file or confirm filing of any documents or filings which we transmit and/or submit on your behalf.
Access to all government systems is more difficult during periods of peak use, and as a result, we are not responsible for any delays which may be caused due to our difficulty in accessing any government systems. The most difficult time to access the Florida Secretary of State's system is in the days including and immediately preceding May 1 of each year. Under current law, Annual Reports for Florida Corporations and Annual Reports for Florida Limited Liability Companies must be filed with the Florida Secretary of State on or before May 1 of each year in order to avoid substantial late filing penalties and the risk of dissolution of any late-filing corporation or limited liability company. Because it is more time intensive to complete filings and confirm filings with the Florida Secretary of State during peak periods, our fees for processing any Annual Reports first submitted to us for filing between April 25 and April 28, inclusive, incur a "Last-Minute Filing Surcharge" of $50, and any Annual Reports first submitted to us for filing between April 29 and May 1, inclusive, are subject to an "Emergency Filing Surcharge" of $75. It is impossible to guarantee that Annual Reports submitted to us for filing with the Florida Secretary of State after April 28 of any year will be timely filed; we will, however, use our best efforts to assure timely filing. The "Last-Minute Filing Surcharge" and "Emergency Filing Surcharge" are non-refundable, as long as we make a good-faith effort to timely complete these filings with the Florida Secretary of State on your behalf.
Florida Paralegals™ shall not be liable for any losses caused by reliance on the accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of any information contained in the records of the Florida Secretary of State or other state or federal governmental agencies or entities nor for any errors or inaccuracies in the information which you submit to us or which we transmit and/or submit on your behalf to the Florida Secretary of State or other state or federal governmental agencies or entities. While we pride ourselves on the accuracy of the information we transmit on your behalf, all persons who use our system to obtain information or complete filings with the Florida Secretary of State or other state or federal governmental agencies or entities do so at their own risk. All users of our service expressly agree that Florida Paralegals™ will not be liable or responsible for any direct, indirect, consequential, compensatory, punitive, or other damages, delays, or inconveniences caused by the use of our services. Under all circumstances, the liability of Florida Paralegals™ is limited to a maximum of (i) the amount paid to us by the user for our services and (ii) any unexpended filing or governmental fees received by us.
By using this service, you understand, acknowledge, and agree that Florida Paralegals™ AND ITS REPRESENTATIVES AND EMPLOYEES HAVE MADE (1) NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES OF ANY NATURE RELATIVE TO THE SERVICES BEING PROVIDED AND (2) NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ANY NATURE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE THEREFOR.
You must use this site and any Florida Paralegals™ Services in accordance with the terms of this policy and your Florida Paralegals™ Service Agreement, and in accordance with all federal, state and local laws, ordinances, and regulations.
